Historical Note and Description

No 6 Maresfield Gardens is a substantial Victorian semi detached house built in 1881 that has recently been restored and refurbished by Simat Properties to provide a superb family home with an abundance of period features combined with contemporary modern fittings.

The property formed part of the original Westfield College opened in 1882 for the higher education of women, and later incorporated into the University of London. A plaque commemorating its former use has been erected on the building by a group of local historians.
